When most people hear the word "dunkin", they think of Dunkin Donuts. However, when we hear the word Dunkin, we think of the handsomest, sweetest, most playful cat at AWSOM. Our sweet Dunkin has a huge purrsonality and we love him to bits. Here's why... Well for one thing, he's utterly gorgeous! This fine, handsome stud has a look about him that screams purrfection. Just look at his face; the right eye is surrounded with white fur while the left eye is surrounded by black fur; and how about that adorable black furred nose? Not to mention that cute black circle under his neck...to sum it up, Dunkin is a handsome boy. Secondly, our sweet boy Dunkin is just that...SWEET! He loves being petted on his head and under his chin, as well as his back and tail. One of his favorite things to do is rub up against peoples' legs and purr...his purr is like a motor boat and he just fills with happiness when people give him some attention. If you put your face close to his, he'll lift his head up and his nose will touch yours. All in all, Dunkin is much sweeter than a pumpkin spiced latte, even with extra sugar. Last but not least, another reason why we love Dunkin so much is because he's super playful. This boy loves playing with other cats, loves chasing balls and feathery toys and loves being crazy. Dunkin currently resides in the Large Cat Room at the shelter's Cat House. Sometimes, while cleaning, we let him roam the actual house. Well, Dunkin sure does enjoy the freedom. He loves lounging on the chairs and basking in the sun that comes in through the window. He likes to run around for a bit, tiring himself out. He's a character and he sure gives us a good laugh. He's just a happy, go lucky kind of a guy and we love him that way! Our boy Dunkin is only over a year old. We remember the day when he first came to us, as a little stray kitten. Dunkin didn't grow up here. He was adopted as a kitten and then returned a year later, because the family suddenly didn't have time for him. At first, Dunkin was disoriented and couldn't figure out why he was now confined in a cage. A few days past and Dunkin soon got over it; now he's living happily in the shelter Cat House. Although Dunkin does like it here, he knows that he isn't meant to be with us furrever. He knows that his true lifetime family is out there. He knows that when he gets adopted again, that it will be for keeps this time and he'll be loved, cherished and cared for furrever. Dunkin is neutered, up-to-date with all his shots, and is litter-trained. Because of his outgoing and lovable purrsonality, he would probably be fine with most dogs. Dunkin does reside in a room with other cats and he does well with most of them. However, Dunkin is an alpha male and isn't a big fan of strong-natured cats. So the best home for Dunkin would be one where he can be the only cat or where the other cats in the household aren't overly assertive. Nevertheless, Dunkin just wants a home where he can be loved...and you can easily make that happen. We can guarantee that just by looking at his picture you've already fallen in love. We can guarantee that when you come down to AWSOM and meet Dunkin, you'll fall head over heels. And lastly, we can guarantee that when you take him home and see him overjoyed with happiness, that you'll feel the same burning desire that we felt while he was in our care...the burning desire of true love.
