Meet our boy BUDDY! Boyfriend is a 8 year old American Eskimo mix who keeps getting passed over, not because of his age, but because his cage manners stink. When you approach him, he starts to bark at you. Most of the time though, he is just trying to talk to you and tell you how happy he is to see you. He is a little cautious of men when he first meets them but comes to trust quickly if treated with kindness and respect. Please don't be deterred by his age. Buddy has a ton of energy, loves to go for long walks and play with people and/or other dogs. In fact, Buddy Boy is a total rock star in our doggy play groups and we call him the "mini mayor" because he manages all the other dogs. It's wonderful to witness! Buddy's favorite person here at AWSOM is Junior Volunteer Cailey. When he sees her, his little body shakes and shimmies with excitement. He does a little "happy dance" in greeting and has a big, goofy smile plastered to his cute little face. Buddy is a great boy who deserves a great home. He's come a long way since being surrendered by an unkind person and he's learned that his life will now only be filled with love, adoration, kindness and respect. We would suggest no kids under 10, just because he does not like to be poked, pulled, squeezed, etc. We haven't tested him with cats yet but can if necessary. He is terrific with other dogs, but a meet and greet with yours is a must. Please, don't look the other way. Consider giving Buddy the fairy tale ending he deserves. He needs someone to love him, spoil him and cherish him for the rest of his life. Someone who will prove to him that humans are kind and that he is worth every ounce of love there is. Age of Dog: Approx. 8 years All of our adult dogs at AWSOM are spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated prior to adoption. AWSOM will pay for puppies to be spayed and neutered when they are old enough and that is covered by our adoption fee. We will honestly represent our animals to the public.
